Like many woodworkers I have always admired the work of James Krenov, a world renowned designer and craftsman. After his passing in the fall of 2009 I decided to finally build one of his classic display cabinets. The cabinet is built from ash and has a curly maple back panel. The stand is made of cherry. Careful attention was paid to wood grain, particularly in the curved legs so that the grain follows the curve instead of “running out”.
